Nairobi, May 8, 2024 — H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended a joint ministerial meeting of foreign and agriculture ministers in Nairobi on Wednesday as a prelude to the Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit, which begins on Thursday. The meeting emphasized the role of fertilizers and soil health in stimulating sustainable, pro-poor growth in African agriculture.
The gathering resulted in the development of a ten-year action plan, which included tangible suggestions for African leaders and stakeholders to implement over the following decade.
