    Morocco’s Interior Ministry said in a written statement Sunday that the government has accepted proposals from the four nations to mobilise search and rescue teams.

    According to the statement, the authorities thoroughly examined the essential requirements, taking into account the potential effects of coordination shortcomings in such instances following the earthquake.

    According to the statement, the search and rescue teams arrived in the country on Sunday to collaborate with Moroccan teams, and it was stressed that offers of assistance from other friendly countries might be welcomed based on probable needs in the field.

    It also conveyed Morocco’s appreciation for several countries’ initiatives.

    According to the Interior Ministry, a magnitude-7 earthquake slammed Morocco late Friday, killing at least 2,122 people and injuring 2,421 others.

    According to Morocco’s National Geophysical Institute, the quake was the strongest to strike the North African country in the recent century.
