Somali Magazine – Manchester United’s Harry Maguire has accepted an apology from a Ghanaian MP who mocked him last year.

Last year, in parliament, Isaac Adongo labeled Maguire as “the biggest threat at the heart of the Manchester United defense.”

On Tuesday, the opposition MP apologized publicly, conceding the defender was now a “transformational footballer… now scoring goals for Manchester United.”

Maguire responded to the apology on X, writing, “MP Isaac Adongo apology accepted.” “I’ll see you at Old Trafford soon.”

Mr Adongo likened Maguire’s performance to that of Ghana’s Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he continues to criticize for bad economic management.

“As for our Maguire, he’s now at the IMF, with a cup in his hand,” Mr Adongo added after apologizing.

Ghana is currently under a $3 billion (£2.4 billion) IMF program after facing the highest inflation in a decade, as well as skyrocketing debt levels.
