According to remarks made by French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, Ukraine can rely on France and its allies in Europe to win the fight with Russia.

At a news conference with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Macron made the comments.

He said, “Russia neither can nor must succeed.”

Considering that “what is at stake in Ukraine includes Europe’s future,” the French president pledged his nation’s “strong support” for Ukraine “as long as Russia attacks it.”

He also emphasized how crucial justice is to bringing about peace.

Invoking a peace plan put forth by Ukraine last November, he continued, “We will stay here so that the misery given to the Ukrainian people is judged.

He declared, “In our opinion, that plan is a crucial foundation for discussions, which ought to bring us to an international peace conference.”
