A day before Americans go to the polls to cast their votes in the midterm elections, US President Joe Biden urged supporters to protect the democracy of the country, which he claimed was under danger.

Biden declared that the US is at a “inflection moment” when speaking at a rally on Monday in Maryland for Democratic candidates Wes Moore and Chris Van Hollen.

Our democracy is in danger, and we realise that this is the time for you to preserve it, he said.

“Remember that where power always lies in America is. The people’s hands, which are yours.

On Tuesday, millions of Americans will cast their votes in their local polling places across the nation.

Both the 35 Senate seats and all 435 House of Representatives seats are up for election this year. Republicans are expected to take control of the House, according to the majority of observers, but there is still much uncertainty on the Senate’s future.
