(SOMALI MAGAZINE) A senior official said on Saturday that US President Joe Biden will offer $1 billion in new food aid to the Middle East amid mounting food shortages brought on by the conflict in Ukraine.
The person said in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Biden is wrapping up a regional trip, “The president will announce today that the United States has committed $1 billion in additional near- to long-term food security support for the Middle East and North Africa regions.”
