    On a historic visit to Mogadishu, Djibouti’s Police Chief extends a hand of friendship.

    Somali Magazine – In a show of unity and collaboration, Djibouti’s Chief of Police, Major General Abdirahman Ali Kahin, arrived in Mogadishu today to join the Somali Police Force’s 80th anniversary festivities. His coming represents a watershed moment in the two countries’ continuous security collaboration, demonstrating their commitment to regional stability and collaborative actions against common dangers.

    General Kahin was greeted enthusiastically at the Aden Adde International Airport by Deputy Commissioner of Police General Osman Abdullahi Kaniif and other senior Somali police officials, who were accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officers. The party was then led to the headquarters of the Police Command, where they were formally welcomed by Commissioner of Police General Sulub Ahmed Firin.

    The Somali Police Force’s 80th anniversary is significant because it marks eight decades of committed service in ensuring the nation’s security and preserving the rule of law. The celebrations, which are set to take place tomorrow, December 20th, are expected to be magnificent, with parades, speeches, and cultural performances highlighting the force’s history, achievements, and steadfast dedication to the Somali people.
