Russia’s hypersonic Kinzhal missiles were utilized for the first time in Ukraine to destroy an underground weapons store, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

“On March 18, a major underground storage facility for missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian military in Delyatin, Ivano-Frankovsk district, was destroyed by the Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic ballistic missiles,” said Igor Konashenkov, a ministry spokeswoman.

In overnight operations, he said, 69 additional Ukrainian military elements were struck, while 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down by Russian air defense systems.

According to the spokeswoman, Russian forces have so far destroyed 196 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 1,438 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 145 multiple launch rocket systems, 556 field artillery and mortars, and 1,237 special military vehicles.

According to Konashenkov, Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine is still in full swing.

According to Ukraine, Russian losses are increasing.

More attacks on Russian forces have been recorded by the Ukrainian military, which claims to have killed at least 14,400 Russian servicemen in combat actions.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, at least 95 Russian aircraft, 115 helicopters, 466 tanks, 914 vehicles, 60 fuel containers, 17 unmanned aerial vehicles, and three light speedboats have been destroyed thus far.

However, neither side’s claims for casualties or damages have been independently verified.

Since the battle began on February 24, at least 816 people have been killed and 1,333 injured in Ukraine, according to UN assessments.

The UN, on the other hand, believes the numbers are likely to be substantially higher.

According to the UN refugee agency, more than 3.27 million people have fled Ukraine, with another 6.48 million internally displaced.
