    Somali Health Minister attends a United Nations forum on health.

    Somali Magazine Sep 23,2023-Dr. Ali Hajji Adan, Somali Health Minister, attended a high-level conference with his counterparts from around the world at the United Nations headquarters. The discussion focused on health programme coordination and the problems that different countries face in providing health care to their populations.

    Dr. Adan spoke at the meeting, highlighting the challenging circumstances in Somalia, particularly the prevalence of infectious diseases such as cholera, measles, and malaria. He also emphasised the necessity of assisting in the development of critical health services for Somalis, such as vaccination, maternity and child health, and emergency response.

    The meeting was held as part of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which is being held in New York from September 14 to September 30. The session will discuss a variety of global challenges, including peace and security, human rights, climate change, and sustainable development.
