    Somali Minister of Planning Meets Qatari Investors in Mogadishu.

    Mr. Mohamud Abdirahman Farah (Beenebeene), Somali Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, met with a delegation of Qatari investors in Mogadishu today. The conference, held at the Ministry’s headquarters, aimed to explore prospects for cooperation in various sectors of the Somali economy.

    Qatari investors indicated interest in investing in housing, energy, and infrastructure projects that would benefit both countries while also contributing to Somalia’s development and stability. They also applauded the Somali government’s efforts to create an atmosphere conducive to foreign investment.

    The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Planning, Mr. Mohamed Abdiqadir Ali, the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Mohamed Shire, members of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, the National Economic Council, and senior officials from the Ministry of National Planning. They reviewed Somalia’s economic issues and prospects, as well as potential areas of partnership with Qatari investors.

    The meeting was part of the Somali government’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and diversify its sources of revenue. The Minister of Planning congratulated the Qatari investors for their visit and expressed his hope that it would result in successful collaboration and mutual gain. He also restated the Somali government’s commitment to providing all necessary support and facilitation to Qatari investors.
