    Somali Prime Minister meets with Minnesota State Representative Hodan Hassan to discuss Somalia’s recent reforms and law enhancements.

    Somali Magazine – Somalia Federal Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre welcomed Minnesota State Representative Hodan Hassan at his office in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

    During the discussion, the two leaders discussed the country’s recent growth and accomplishments in a variety of areas.

    The Prime Minister updated the Representative on the Somali government’s achievements in the campaign against Al-Shabaab, membership in the East African Community bloc, debt relief, and the easing of the country’s arms embargo imposed in 1991.

    Barre recognised the critical role that the Somali diaspora plays in state-building and economic growth.

    He notably mentioned the remarkable role women play in the country’s economic resurgence and their unwavering support for their Somali brothers and sisters back home.

    Representative Hodan Hassan expressed her appreciation for the wonderful welcome and kindness she received upon her return to her motherland.

    She praised Somalia’s recent achievements, including debt relief, membership in the East African Community, the removal of the arms embargo, and success against Al-Shabaab.

    The Representative emphasised her ongoing commitment to assisting the Somali people in reconstructing their country.
