Somali Magazine – On Tuesday, the Federal Republic of Somalia is scheduled to reject a sensitive and so-called Memorandum of Understanding between Somaliland and the Ethiopian government on marine access, which violates Somali territory’s sovereignty.

The Memorandum of Understanding said that Somaliland, northwest of Somalia, exchanged 20 kilometers of sea for recognition from Ethiopia, a violation of sovereign state by our neighboring country, Ethiopia.

Former and current Somali officials, including Prime Ministers, Presidents, and Ministers, as well as the general public, strongly denounced Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Muse Bihi Abdi’s behavior yesterday.

” is unbreakable! Its sovereignty and territorial integrity are unassailable. knows full well that it cannot establish a military pact/MOU with a regional head of state to lease a port–that authority belongs to the FGS. “has no free rein to violate our territorial integrity,” declared the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on X.

However, Somalia’s cabinet met in extra-ordinary session today and is currently presenting a media briefing.
