On Monday, the China International Press Communication Centre (CIPCC) announced the commencement of its 2023 media exchange programme in Beijing. The China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) organised the four-month programme, which drew over 80 journalists from 70 countries, including Somalia. Participants will be able to learn about China’s socioeconomic growth, diplomacy, culture, science, and technology, as well as share their journalism experiences. A series of workshops, media training, and exchanges with Chinese colleagues are part of the programme. The program’s director, Mr. Yu Lei, indicated that the program’s goal is to create collaboration between media organisations in China and underdeveloped nations.

The CIPCC media exchange programme is intended to offer journalists from all over the world with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about China and its people. Participants will obtain a better grasp of China’s history, culture, and current issues through a combination of workshops, training sessions, and cultural activities. Participants will get the chance to discuss their own experiences and viewpoints with their Chinese counterparts in addition to learning about China.

The programme is being held at a cutting-edge facility with an excellent geographical location and convenient transit alternatives. The estate is around 60,000 square metres in size and consists of 13 buildings with over 800 flats. Participants will have access to all of the amenities and services they need to make the most of their experience throughout their stay.
