Somali magazine -Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced on Wednesday that he intends to call a gathering of Latin American foreign ministers to discuss migration.
During his morning briefing, Lopez Obrador emphasized the importance of Latin America working together to address the issue.
“It’s not just a Mexican issue,” he said, stressing that the number of migrants passing through Mexico has increased substantially, particularly from Central and South America.
“There will be a meeting.” We are inviting these countries’ sister governments. We have invited them to a meeting of foreign ministers in Mexico to discuss the migrant crisis. They recognize that practically all of them cross through Mexico and that we must care for them, the migrants.
