SOMALI MAGAZINE – The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has published a statement expressing sincere regret for the tragic incident that occurred at Jowhar airport on Friday, November 3, 2023. A conflict between the Somali National Army (SNA) and some local civilians occurred, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.
The Ministry of Defence has stated that it sympathises with the victims and their families and that it will conduct an extensive inquiry through the SNA and the Armed Forces Court. The MoD has also vowed that any wrongdoing will be dealt with swiftly and that the Army’s honour will be preserved in defending Somalia.
