Somali Magazine – HE Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), President of the Southwest State of Somalia, greeted the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Somalia, Michael Nithavrianakis, and his delegation in Baidoa.
The officials discussed flood-control plants, preparations for the second phase of the campaign against Al-Shabaab terrorists, strengthening bilateral collaboration, and the implementation of community-service programs.
The Ambassador stated that his visits to Baidoa and the Southwest State are intended to demonstrate solidarity and to reaffirm the UK’s support for those impacted by the floods, as well as to aid in the decentralization of government services.
The Ministers of Planning, Justice, Aid, and Public Works all attended the meeting.
