    Turkey and Saudi Arabia sign agreements on investment, defence, energy, and communications.

    On Monday, Turkey and Saudi Arabia inked a series of agreements covering investment, defence, energy, and communications.

    The agreements were inked in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, following delegation discussions led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

    Earlier, President Erdogan met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman behind closed doors at Al-Salam Royal Palace.

    The Turkish president landed in Saudi Arabia on Monday as part of a three-day Gulf tour to boost ties.

    Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud and other officials greeted Erdogan at the airport in Jeddah on the first part of his journey.

    Members of the president’s Cabinet and other Turkish authorities are accompanying him.

    Following his visit to Saudi Arabia, Erdogan will go to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
