    Turkish and South Korean presidents will hold discussions in India.

    Somali Magazine September 09, 2023 -Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol in India on Saturday for talks.

    The leaders met behind closed doors on the margins of the G-20 conference in New Delhi.

    Earlier, Erdogan met with the heads of MIKTA, a collaboration between Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey, and Australia.

    Türkiye and the Republic of Korea established political ties on August 11, 1949, with Türkiye’s recognition of the country as an independent state. The participation of Türkiye in the Korean War generated a special tie between the two countries.

    Diplomatic relations were established in 1957, and relations were elevated to strategic partnership status in 2012.
