On May 20, 2023, AFRICOM launched an airstrike against the al-Shabaab insurgent network in Somalia in conjunction with the Federal Government of Somalia.
Jilib, Somalia, was the site of the strike.
According to the command’s preliminary findings, no civilians were harmed or killed.
